Julia Roberts made her screen debut in 1986 (co-starring with her brother, actor Eric Roberts), but it was her role in 1988's Mystic Pizza that grabbed the public's attention. After box office successes like Steel Magnolias (1989, with Dolly Parton) and Pretty Woman (1990, with Richard Gere), Roberts was among the highest paid actresses in the business and one of Hollywood's most bankable movie stars. In 2001 she won the Academy Award as the year's best actress for playing the title role in the Steven Soderbergh film Erin Brockovich. That same year she appeared with Brad Pitt in The Mexican and Ocean's Eleven (also directed by Soderbergh).
Roberts married cameraman Daniel Molder on 4 July 2002; the couple met while filming the 2001 film The Mexican... Roberts previously was married to singer Lyle Lovett from 1993 through 1995. She has been engaged to, but did not marry, actors Kiefer Sutherland and Dylan McDermott, and dated actor Benjamin Bratt from 1997-2001.
Julia Looking for Baby Delivery Help
Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts' vie for motherhood seems to have been successful - she's now looking for an obstetrician. A month ago, reports emerged that the Pretty Woman star was attending America's Cornell Medical Center for fertility treatments and most recently she called a favor from an old friend that she helped out in the past.
A source tells American showbiz website Page Six, "She put a friend of hers, Michael, through medical school in New York. "Just a couple of weeks ago, Julia called him up and said, 'So - can you deliver babies?'" Unfortunately for Julia, who's married to cameraman Danny Moder, Michael is not an obstetrician or gynecologist and can't help his generous pal. Roberts' spokeswoman has no comment.
George Causes Friction in Julia's Marriage
The blossoming friendship between Hollywood A-list pals George Clooney and Julia Roberts is causing friction with the Pretty Woman star's husband, Danny Moder. Moder, her husband of four months, has told Roberts he is unhappy about her relationship with heart-throb Clooney, 41, and the fact they always seem to be working together. A friend of Clooney told British magazine Closer, "Julia's almost been spending more time with George than with her husband, and Danny's not happy."
Having spent most of 2001 making and promoting Ocean's Eleven, they are now preparing for the release of Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind, in which Clooney directed Roberts. According to Clooney's friend they were very close on set: "They were always disappearing together and when they returned, they were all smiles." Molder, 33, even visited the Toronto set at one stage to see what was happening between the pair. Clooney's friend says, "When Danny got there, Julia just laughed the whole thing off and insisted that he was being paranoid. She said she and George were doing nothing more than playing video games and making crank calls to the hotel staff."

Julia Roberts Quotations

“I don't get angry very often. I lose my temper rarely. And when I do, there's always a legitimate cause. Normally I have a great lightness of being. I take things in a very happy, amused way.”
“I don't think I realized that the cost of fame is that it's open season on every moment of your life.”
“I enjoy hats. And when one has filthy hair, that is a good accessory.”

“My real hair color is kind of a dark blonde. Now I just have mood hair.”

“People came up: 'I thought you were 6 ft tall.' I'm average height - 5 ft 8 ins, skinny blonde. One guy says to me 'So, where's the fox from Mystic Pizza?'”
“People don't want to see me having sex... I'm the queen of the 'kiss, foreplay, dissolve.' And then the 'Whoo! Good morning, tiger.'”
